RMB Safety Policies

The goal of our safety policy is to create a safe, healthy, happy, workplace environment conducive to the safety of all people involved with our company.

Mandatory Requirements

• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions.
• Report all near-miss occurrences.
• Report all injuries or damages immediately.
• Perform work in accordance with safe work practices.
• Maintain good housekeeping in your work areas.
• Operate all vehicles in accordance with site rules and highway regulations.
• The use of scaffolding is to be employed whenever possible in lieu of ladders.

Prohibitions

The following are prohibited at all times on all company property and all company job sites:

• Possession or consumption of alcohol.
• Possession or consumption of illegal drugs.
• Fighting, horseplay, practical jokes.
• Theft, vandalism.
• Damaging, disabling, or interfering with safety, fire fighting, or first aid equipment.
  Arriving at work or remaining at work when ability to perform the job is impaired.
• Driving any vehicle on public roadways without a valid driver's license.

Personal Protective Equipment

• It is the policy with Reliable Metal Buildings that all employees use the proper personal protective equipment.
• Employees on Reliable Metal Buildings job sites will wear CSA APPROVED: hard hats, footwear, safety glasses.
• Employees will also be required to wear NOMEX fire resistant coveralls at all oil & gas locations.

Maintenance

• All tools and equipment shall be properly maintained so as to reduce injuries to employees and damage to property.
• All employees shall regularly check all tools, equipment, and vehicles they are working with, and shall report any tools, equipment, or vehicles that pose a hazard due to need for repair.

Safety Training Policy

• Reliable Metal Buildings will provide time to ensure that all employees receive adequate safety training.
• Reliable Metal Buidings will ensure that all employees receive job-specific safety training.
• Medical First Aid Kits are located in our work shop, office, and in our company vehicles.

Investigation

• It is the policy of Reliable Metal Buildings to have any incidents that result, or could have resulted in injury or property damage thoroughly investigated.
• The purpose of such investigation is to determine the causes of the incident so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent recurrence.
