The standing seam metal
roof system is one of the most exciting breakthroughs in roofing. It fills the
building owner's need for durable puncture-resistant protection against the forces of
nature. It also ends eavestroughs running full with asphalt granules.
The 24 gauge metal used
on our roofs is twice the weight of the thinner 30 gauge screw-down sheet metal often used
as a cheap substitute for a standing seam metal roof system. Our roof system is
fastened to allow for the expansion and contraction of the metal as opposed to screw-down
sheets. The fasteners are hidden under the roof panel, eliminating possible water
leaks. The panel fastening system is designed to handle the potentially damaging
effects of metal movement caused by expansion and contraction.

The steel used for stamping roof panels meets
very exacting standards. Steel is processed through a hot dip metallic coating
operation providing base corrosion protection. This is followed by a factory-applied
pretreatment, primer, and finish coat. The steel is shipped to us in 2500 pound
rolls. It is roll-formed into an engineered roof pan 16" wide, one continuous
length from the eave to the ridge top of the roof.
